New Delhi:
The National General Secretary of the Indian Railway Employees Federation (IREF), Sarvjeet Singh, issued an official statement today strongly refuting a misleading letter circulating on social media and other platforms. He clarified that a letter being spread regarding the formation of a so-called “Zonal Committee” in the North Eastern Railway (NER) and the appointment of various positions is entirely fake, baseless, and contrary to the authorized decisions of the Federation. The General Secretary emphasized that the Federation follows a dignified organizational process, and any such letter—specifically one naming Mr. Manoj Pandey as “General Secretary” without official authorization—holds no legal or organizational validity.
Sarvjeet Singh further informed that the recognized zonal union in North Eastern Railway is the “N.E. Railway Men’s Congress (NERMC),” and all Federation activities are conducted in accordance with organizational decorum and established structures. Any declaration made without the approval of the competent authority and central leadership falls under the category of indiscipline. It has come to the Federation’s notice that certain individuals are arbitrarily misusing the organization’s name to spread misinformation, which is a deep-seated conspiracy to create confusion among employees. The organization has also warned of strict constitutional and disciplinary action against individuals involved in such activities.
The General Secretary has appealed to all railway employees and members of the organization to remain fully vigilant against such fake news and misleading information and not be swayed by anyone. He clarified that railway employees should only trust official letters and information issued by the Federation. It is the responsibility of every member to maintain the unity and dignity of the organization. IREF has always worked with transparency and discipline for the interests of employees. For any official verification, the central leadership can be contacted to thwart forces attempting to tarnish the organization’s image.
Sincerely,
Bharat Raj
