Kapurthala, 03.02.2026: Shri P. K. Mishra, General Manager, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel, at Raj Bhavan, Lucknow on 03 February 2026. During the meeting, Shri Mishra apprised the Hon’ble Governor in detail about the railway production units.
On this occasion, Shri Mishra presented a copy of his acclaimed book “Rails Through Raj”, based on the history of Indian Railways, to the Hon’ble Governor. While briefing about the book, he stated that the work is based on primary historical sources and presents the development of Indian Railways during the British era with factual analysis and a scientific perspective. The book will be highly useful not only for general readers but also for researchers and scholars of history and railways.
The Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel, appreciated the writing skills of General Manager Shri Mishra.
On this occasion, the Hon’ble Governor also presented her authored books “Challenges Are What I Like” and “They Will Always Be Remembered” to the General Manager. The meeting was extremely cordial, informative, and meaningful.
