On the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi (14 April 2026), the Urban Estate Welfare Society, Kapurthala is organizing the 10th Mega Blood Donation Camp and Free Medical Check-up Camp at Shri Neelkanth Mandir, Urban Estate, Kapurthala, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
This information was shared by the Society’s President, Advocate Anuj Anand. He informed that several eminent doctors, including Dr. Ranjit Rai, Dr. Gayan Chand Mangat, Dr. Ridhima, Dr. Vishwajit Singh, Dr. Mayank Khullar, Dr. Kanwar Deep Singh Nandha, Dr. Kuljeet Kaur, and Dr. Navjeet Kaur Thind, will provide their services during the camp.
Specialists such as pediatricians, MD medicine experts, dentists, pathologists, and physiotherapists will be available. Basic medical tests will be conducted free of cost, while other tests will be offered at concessional rates.
Anuj Anand appealed to all eligible individuals to donate blood. He stated that healthy persons between 18 to 65 years of age, weighing at least 45–50 kg and not suffering from any serious illness, are eligible to donate blood.
He emphasized that blood donation is a noble act that saves lives. It is also beneficial for the donor’s health, as it helps in faster regeneration of blood, improves blood circulation, and provides mental satisfaction along with a sense of social service.
He further appealed to NGOs, social workers, residents, relatives, and various groups to encourage maximum participation so that more people can benefit from the camp.
Anuj Anand also informed that society members K.S. Nagra, Gurnam Singh, H.K. Pullani, Vikas Puri, and Sachin Arora are actively working to motivate people for blood donation.
In conclusion, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Shri Neelkanth Mandir Committee for their cooperation in organizing this camp.
