Citizens can avail electoral services from 10am to 4pm
Eligible youth, PwD voters and other citizens motivated to participate
Kapurthala, September 1
To facilitate the citizens in availing electoral services and ensure that no eligible voter is left behind, a special camp will be organized at all polling booths across Punjab, including Kapurthala district, on September 6 (Sunday) from 10 AM to 4 PM under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls.
As per the directions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will remain present at their respective polling booths throughout the camp to assist citizens with various electoral services and ensure maximum participation.
During the special camp, eligible citizens will be facilitated in filling Form-6, Form-6A and Form-8, wherever applicable, along with the required declarations and supporting documents. Special emphasis will also be laid on enrolling young voters in the 18-19 age group so that all eligible first-time voters are included in the electoral rolls. The camp will also facilitate Persons with Disabilities (PwD) voters, with BLOs assisting them in filling Form-8 for marking their status in the electoral rolls.
The district administration has appealed to all eligible citizens to make maximum use of the special camps and visit their respective polling booth on September 6 to avail themselves of electoral services.
