CC flooring works in various wards to give major boost to civic infrastructure

In a major push towards strengthening civic infrastructure in Kapurthala, the Municipal Corporation is set to commence several development works worth Rs 82 lakh in different areas of the city, with the projects aimed at improving roads, streets and public convenience.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Anupam Kaler said that the development works would be started soon in various wards and localities, covering several streets and residential areas. The works have been awarded through the prescribed tender process. The works include CC flooring in Gali Namdev Colony and streets of Ward No. 47, various streets in Ward No. 13. Similarly, a number of streets in Santpura area of Ward No. 38, including Gali No. 4, Gali No. 12, Gali No. 4-5, Onkar School and adjoining link streets, will also be constructed with CC flooring.
Commissioner Anupam Kaler said that the Punjab Government was committed to the comprehensive development of cities and the Municipal Corporation Kapurthala was working with full dedication to ensure that residents get better civic amenities and improved infrastructure. She said that the Punjab Government was committed to the development of Kapurthala and no stone would be left unturned to transform the city into a well-developed and modern urban centre. Multiple development works worth crores are already underway and several more projects are being taken up across the city.
She said that the development of streets and other basic infrastructure was among the key priorities of the Municipal Corporation. These works, she added, would provide smoother and better-quality streets while improving the overall appearance of residential localities. The Commissioner further said that quality material would be strictly ensured in all development works and that the concerned officials would closely monitor the execution to ensure that the projects are completed as per prescribed specifications and within the stipulated timeframe.
