Punjab Sikhya kranti – Development works worth ₹94 Lakh dedicated to people at 8 More Schools in Kapurthala

 

Additional Classrooms, Science Labs, and Boundary Walls inaugurated in all sub divisions

 

Kapurthala, April 11:

As part of the “ Punjab Sikhya kranti “, a campaign to transform schools in Kapurthala district, development works worth ₹94 lakh were inaugurated today in the eight government schools.

 

Earlier, over the last four days, development works worth approximately ₹2.5 crore were inaugurated in 16 schools.

 

These development works primarily include the construction of additional classrooms, boundary walls, and science labs.

 

At the Government Primary School, Meeranpur, Phagwara, Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal inaugurated a boundary wall built at a cost of ₹8.5 lakh and other development works worth ₹3 lakh. Additionally, at Government Middle School, Chakkhakim, a sports track costing ₹1.60 lakh and a boundary wall prepared with ₹3.50 lakh were inaugurated.

 

In the Government Primary and Middle School, Chuharwal in Kapurthala Block, Chairman of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation Gurdev Singh Lakhan inaugurated an additional classroom constructed at a cost of ₹7.51 lakh and a boundary wall costing ₹2 lakh.

 

Similarly, at the Government Senior Secondary School Dalla and Government Primary School Dalla in Sultanpur Lodhi, Chairman of Kapurthala Improvement Trust Sajjan Singh Cheema has inaugurated a science block built at a cost of ₹11 lakh, additional classrooms costing ₹22.53 lakh and a boundary wall costing ₹5.25 lakh.

 

In Bholath, development works were inaugurated at Government Primary School, Dyalpur and Government Primary School, Sher Singhwala, by Mr. Harsimran Singh Ghumman, Director, Water Resources Department and Member of Punjab Cricket Association.

 

These included the construction of additional classrooms costing ₹15.02 lakh and a boundary wall costing ₹8 lakh.

 

It is noteworthy that under the Punjab Education Revolution, the state government is undertaking large-scale infrastructure development in schools as part of a 54-day campaign. Under this initiative, 255 senior secondary schools and 543 primary schools in Kapurthala district will be revamped in phases.

 

On this occasion, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former minister Joginder Singh Mann, Joint Secretary Gurpal Singh Indian, Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Harji Mann, SDMs Devi Goel, Dr. Irvin Kaur, Jashanjeet Singh, Kapil Jindal, and others were present.
