



-Struggle will continue till old pension is restored: Amrik Singh

On 28th January, on the national call of NMOPS and IREF, a protest was held against UPS in entire Indian Railways including all departments in the entire country at Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala. In the same sequence, employees of RCF Employees Union organized a huge protest at Doctor Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk at 12:00 noon by raising anti-UPS slogans and showing black flags. Thousands of employees participated in it. Front Against NPS in Railway’s National President Amrik Singh said that the struggle will continue until the old pension debate is not resolved. The organization has always fought for the rights of the employees, and RCF is called the heaven of Indian Railways due to the historic struggles done by RCF Employees Union. In 2006, when the order to make the factory a PSU was issued, that time too, this battle was won due to the struggle. And between 2006 and 2012, hundreds of youth who were apprenticed under the Act were given jobs through struggle. And in 2013, a long struggle was done and won against the recommendations of Dr Vivek Devrai Committee. Because Employees Union is another name for struggle. Sarvjeet Singh, National General Secretary of Indian Railway Employees Federation said that today protests are being held against UPS in the entire Indian Railways. And the bugle of struggle against UPS has been sounded. Due to the struggle, RCF Employees Union is continuously struggling to put pressure on RCF administration and Railway Board to conduct new recruitments from time to time, to curb the increasing outsourcing and contracting system in RCF, to improve the quality of coaches, to curb substandard goods, to maintain the colony premises well, to ensure all kinds of facilities to the employees and their families, etc. He further said that all the employees are openly opposing both the recognized organizations that support the implementation of privatization policy in the entire railway, to forcibly impose unified pension scheme on the employees instead of restoring the old pension scheme, Railway Rejuvenation Committee, Railway Restructuring Committee etc. committees which have caused a huge loss to the infrastructure of the railway and the railway employees. Both the recognized federations are being boycotted by the employees in the entire railway including RCF! In this protest, the entire executive body of the union including hundreds of employees including Sharanjit Singh, Manjit Singh Bajwa, Bharat Raj, Trilochan Singh, Arvind Kumar Shah, Vichitar Singh, Narendra Kumar, Talwinder Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Anil Kumar, Jagdeep Singh, Pradeep Singh, Saket Yadav, Avtaar Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Harikash, Ashwani Kumar, Sunny, Ronit, Pankaj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Subhash, Surendra Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Kaushal, Vikasmani, Harkesh, Samaresh, Aryan, Balram, Mainpal, Makhan Singh, Jagjit Singh, S.N. Bhatia, Amrik Singh etc gave full support.
