New Delhi, October 18, 2026 (Manmohan Singh)
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and general secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon have announced that the dsgmc will organise large-scale religious events to mark the culmination of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
As part of this series, a special marathon will be held on October 25 at 6:30 a.m., from India gate to Gurdwara Sri Rakab Ganj Sahib. Both said that the marathon aims to spread Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s timeless message of supreme sacrifice, the protection of faith, and service to humanity.
Both leaders said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji made the ultimate sacrifice to protect religion, justice, and humanity. Therefore, the marathon is not merely a sporting event; it is a heartfelt tribute rooted in devotion, unity, and the spirit of selfless service.
Both dsgmc leaders have appealed to the entire sangat, the sikh community, youth, and social organisations to participate in the special marathon in large numbers and to encourage others to join as well.
