Lists of voters who did not appear for notice hearings given to BLAs-1

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Akash Bansal on Wednesday held a meeting with Booth Level Agents (BLAs-1) of all recognised political parties to review the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner apprised them of the progress made in the claims and objections received during the SIR process, besides reviewing the status of notices issued to unmapped electors and voters identified with logical discrepancies. The lists of voters who did not appear for hearings despite being served notices, also handed over to them.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the lists of such voters have also been uploaded on the official website of District Kapurthala at kapurthala.gov.in for information and necessary action. He urged all BLAs-1 to coordinate with their respective BLA-2s and ensure that voters related to unmapped electors and logical discrepancies, who have not yet submitted the requisite documents to the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs) or Electoral Registration Officers (SDMs), submit their documents to the concerned BLOs before September 30, 2026. He emphasised that all stakeholders should extend full cooperation in ensuring a transparent and accurate electoral roll revision process in the district.
