New Delhi October 19 (Manmohan Singh):
The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has been making consistent efforts to provide transparent services to the sangat and uphold the sikh gurus’ teachings of selfless service and the welfare of all. These initiatives have strengthened the community’s faith and inspired devotees to contribute a portion of their hard-earned income as dasvandh towards the service of the guru ghar.
DSGMC President S. Harmeet Singh Kalka and general secretary S. Jagdeep Singh Kahlon expressed these views while appreciating the initiatives undertaken by Aadhar Housing Finance Limited in support of religious and humanitarian services to DSGMC.
Both leaders informed that the company’s CEO, Mr. Rishi Anand, had donated a Winger vehicle to facilitate Amrit Sanchar programmes. The vehicle will assist sikh representatives in travelling to different locations to conduct these sacred ceremonies. Both described amrit sanchar as an important Sikh religious tradition and appreciated the contribution towards strengthening its outreach.
Both leaders further recalled that a Mahindra Bolero vehicle had earlier been provided for the service of the panj pyare. These contributions reflect the sangat’s deep devotion to Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji and Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
Kalka and Kahlon thanked Mr. Anand, Mr. Jaspal Singh and the entire Aadhar Housing Finance team, expressing hope that such initiatives would inspire greater participation in community service.
Both dsgmc leaders also highlighted the company’s educational assistance initiative, under which approximately 400 school bags have been prepared for students from Classes I to XII. The bags contain geometry boxes and other essential stationery items.
Eligible families can collect these supplies from the education counter at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib. The leaders said that supporting children’s education helps build a brighter future and reinforces the values of compassion, solidarity and social responsibility.
