Marathon to commence at 6:00 AM on tomorrow from Guru Nanak Stadium, proceed towards Ramada and return to Guru Nanak Stadium

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa on Sunday reviewed the preparations for the ‘Run For Equality’ Marathon, being organised by the district administration on Monday morning as part of the celebrations marking the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji.
The marathon will commence at 6:00 AM from Guru Nanak Stadium, proceed towards Ramada Hotel, and return to Guru Nanak Stadium, where it will culminate.
During his visit, ADC Bajwa, accompanied by officials from various departments, inspected the entire marathon route and reviewed the arrangements at Guru Nanak Stadium. He assessed the deployment of sanitation teams, traffic management, security, medical facilities, drinking water arrangements and other essential services to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the event. He directed the concerned officials to ensure proper coordination among all departments and make adequate arrangements for the convenience and safety of participants. He also emphasised maintaining cleanliness along the route and ensuring that all necessary facilities are in place well before the commencement of the marathon.
The ADC said that the marathon aims to spread the message of equality, social harmony and inclusiveness inspired by the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. He appealed to residents, youth and sports enthusiasts to participate enthusiastically in the event and make it a grand success.
Officials of the concerned departments were present during the inspection.
