SPECIAL LOK ADALAT IN SUPREME COURT FROM AUGUST 21 TO 23 TO DISPOSE OF LONG-PENDING CASES

A Special Lok Adalat will be organized on the premises of the Supreme Court from August 21 to 23, 2026, with the objective of facilitating the amicable settlement of long-pending cases through mutual consent and conciliation.

 

Litigants whose cases are pending before the Supreme Court and who are willing to resolve their disputes through mutual agreement can avail themselves of this opportunity. Interested parties can visit the office of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Judicial Court Complex, Kapurthala, on any working day at the earliest and submit an application for referring their cases to the Special Lok Adalat.

 

The Special Lok Adalat will take up a broad range of matters, including labour disputes, cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, motor accident claim cases, other compensation claims, service matters, land acquisition cases, mortgage-related disputes, compoundable criminal cases, consumer disputes, and other civil matters.
