Seminar on ‘How to Make Teaching Learning Effective’ at Hindu Kanya College

Teaching and learning go hand-in-hand. Effective teachers continually improve their skills by learning about the latest trends in the field of education. Keeping this in view, a Seminar on ‘How to Make Teaching Learning Effective’ was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala  on 22nd April 2024 for its teachers. Dr. Ritu Gupta, Convener, IQAC welcomed the Resource Person, Mrs. Minoo Aggarwal,  Regional Officer, South Zone, D.A.V Institutions. The Resource person enlightened the staff about the prime aim of teaching, that is, to ensure learning and to promote students’ engagement. The right way of teaching and learning helps students develop essential life skills. These skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and collaboration. These skills are vital for a student’s future and overall personality development. Teaching is not limited to textbook knowledge, it’s beyond that. Teachers must address all queries of students in the classroom, whether those are of ‘jumping jacks’ or are ‘silent voices’. Later on, Mrs. Aggarwal also provided the expert solutions to the problems faced by the teachers. College Principal Dr. Archna Garg paid her gratitude to the Resource Person for inspiring teachers to upgrade and upskill themselves to meet the expectations of students in the fast changing scenario. All staff members attended the seminar with full zeal. Ms. Suvit, Member, IQAC, hosted the session  impeccably.
