Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2026 begins at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala

The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2026’ was enthusiastically launched today at Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala, as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada . The theme of this year’s campaign is “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag – Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat”. The campaign will continue from 17 September to 15 October 2026.

On the first day of the campaign, General Manager Shri Ajay Nandan administered the Swachhata pledge to officers and employees. Simultaneously, officers and employees across various departments of the factory took the Swachhata pledge collectively at their respective workplaces and reaffirmed their commitment towards cleanliness.

On the occasion, General Manager Shri Ajay Nandan called upon all officers and employees to maintain cleanliness not only at their workplaces but also across the RCF premises, surrounding areas and their homes, and to motivate others to contribute towards cleanliness.

Under Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2026, various cleanliness, awareness and public participation activities will be organised at RCF. Special cleanliness drives will be conducted at workshops, offices, Colony and other identified cleanliness locations. Regular cleaning of identified cleanliness target units, proper disposal of waste, and documentation of the conditions before and after cleanliness activities will also form an important part of the campaign.

Special focus will be given to solid waste management, reduction in the use of single-use plastic, cleanliness awareness and clean workplaces. Cleanliness awareness programmes and extensive cleanliness drives will be organised at various locations.

As part of the campaign, the administration will also organise street plays, selfie points, door-to-door awareness campaigns and other public participation activities to enhance awareness about cleanliness among employees and their families. In addition, special cleanliness drives will be undertaken in offices, colonies, workshops, drains and toilets across the RCF premises. Cleanliness activities will also be organised at locations such as the Sports Stadiums, Heritage Park, Community Hall, Shopping Complex and public toilets.

During the campaign, initiatives such as ‘Waste to Art’ will be promoted to creatively transform discarded materials such as plastic, metal scrap, e-waste, wood and paper into useful and attractive art objects.Through Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2026, RCF is making concerted efforts to make cleanliness an integral part of its daily work culture and to further strengthen the sense of responsibility, participation and awareness towards cleanliness among its employees.
