Patiala, September 19 (Manmohan Singh): The newly appointed Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited , IAS Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, was seen at the PSPCL headquarters in Patiala with his father, Er.Kirpal Singh, former Member (Operations) of the erstwhile Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB).
It may be recalled that Er.Kirpal Singh served as Member (Operations) of the Punjab State Electricity Board in 2001. During his tenure, several initiatives were introduced to provide special facilities to rural electricity consumers and to strengthen schemes aimed at ensuring round-the-clock power supply across Punjab.
The presence of the father and son at the PSPCL headquarters reflects a notable continuity of association with Punjab’s power sector and its public service legacy.
