As part of the ongoing sporting extravaganza under Khedan Watan Punjab Diyaan 2026, an exciting six-over cricket match was organised on Thursday at the School of Eminence Cricket Ground, Kapurthala.
The match was played between the SOE Cricket Coaching Centre team and Old Monks Cricket Club, Kapurthala. The players displayed enthusiasm, competitive spirit and excellent sporting skills throughout the match.
District Sports Officer Kulwinder Singh said that the SOE Cricket Coaching Centre team emerged victorious after an engaging contest, with players from both teams showcasing their talent and maintaining the true spirit of sportsmanship.
Meanwhile, he said that another six-over cricket match was also played between Akal Academy, Sultanpur Lodhi, and Khalsa College. The players of both teams put up an enthusiastic performance and displayed their cricketing skills and sportsmanship. Khalsa College emerged victorious in the match.
He said that the sporting event provided a platform for young cricket enthusiasts to participate in competitive sports and encouraged greater participation in the games being organised under Khedan Watan Punjab Diyaan 2026.
